Preparing for the next academic teaching session? Adapting to a blended teaching model?

Don’t forget to clue up on the data protection considerations if you plan to make recordings of lessons delivered remotely to your students (via MS Teams). To ensure fair access to teaching materials for all students throughout the easing of lockdown, recording online lessons may be necessary in certain circumstances. Data protection considerations are particularly important whenever students are audible or visible in a recording, as this is a form of personal data collection.

All your questions are covered in this on-demand training session, which aims to provide clear data protection compliant interim guidance for recording teaching sessions and assessments.

Topics covered include:

•   Applicable timeframe for the guidance

•   Assessments

•   Recording remote teaching sessions

•   Circumstances when you should never record

•   Clearly informing students

•   Accessibility to recordings

•   Retention
